Biography // Rob Rashell Golf Instruction

bio pic My name is Rob Rashell and I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I went to Lake Stevens High School, a small town 45 minutes north of downtown Seattle. I grew up playing any sport I could, finally settling on golf and basketball through high school. I spent my summer's caddying at Everett Country club which led to an Evans Scholarship to the University of Washington, the only college I wanted to attend.

Although I wasn't recruited to play golf at UW, I was a good player and active playing tournaments through the summers, so I decided to try and walk on to the golf team. In the winter of my sophomore year I beat out 7 other players over two weeks of nine holes each day to earn a spot on the roster with the Men's Golf Team, the beginning of my golfing career.

I progressed steadily through my years at UW and believed I had a chance to play as a professional, so with a solid plan, and help from some sponsors, I skipped graduation on a Saturday, caught the red eye that night to South Florida and teed it up in my first professional event, to this day the smallest professioanl check I've ever made, $41.

Over the next 14 years professional golf took me all over the world, with full years on both the European Tour and the PGA Tour, including two US Opens, Pinehurst in 2005 and Torrey Pines in 2008.

In the beginning of 2014 I transitioned into the coaching side of golf and am eager to share what I've learned through my over 20 years of playing competitive golf at almost every level. Some of the tools I use to teach include video, Trackman, Boditrak, Blast Putting Sensor, all to help any player see what is happening, make a plan to get better, and measure the change.

I currently work with players on the PGA, Web.com, Canadian, Latin American, and Champions tour in addition to high level junior and high school players. Everyone is welcome.
